Hi JM,
Table 16-3 in the device datasheet describes how to connect unused pins. For the VCx pins, there must be a battery cell connected on VC16-VC15, on VC2-VC1, and on VC1-VC0. All other VCx pins can be shorted as needed.
So for this example, I suggest connecting VC13,VC14,VC15 together.
Best regards,
Matt
Hi Matt,
Do you mean that VC16&VC15, VC2&VC1, VC1&VC0 must be short-circuited?
No matter what the number of strings?
Hi JM,
No, these are the pins that cannot be short-circuited. There must be a cell connected between VC15 and VC16. The same is true for VC1/VC0 and for VC2/VC1.
Any other inputs can be shorted to each other.
Matt
Hi Matt,
I understand what you mean, in order to average the power consumption, the schematic diagram VC12&VC13 is short-circuited, VC14&VC15 is short-circuited, and then is it possible to configure this on bqstudio?
