TPS65218D0: Difference between TPS65218D0/15/25/35/45

Part Number: TPS65218D0
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65218, TPS6521815, TPS6521825, TPS6521835, TPS6521845

Dear team,

What is big difference between TPS65218D0/15/25/35/45? These PMICs seems to have same sequence and same default output.

At TI.com, I can see that " Same functionality but pre-programmed to power different NXP processor" but I can't find difference.

Is there comparison table between these PMICs? What is pre-programmed value?

Please let me know your opinion.

Thank you.

  • Hi,

As you noted, there are a few different variants of TPS65218, each optimized for use with different processors. They are defined as follows:

TPS65218D0: ARM Cortex -A8/A9 SOCs and FPGAs

    TPS6521815: User-programmable version of TPS65218

    TPS6521825: NXP i.MX 8M Mini

    TPS6521835: NXP i.MX 6ULL/6UltraLite

    TPS6521845: NXP i.MX 6Solo/6DualLite

Each of these processors has slightly different requirements that these versions of TPS65218xx are programmed to meet. If working with any of these processors, there should be no additional programming required to meet specs

  • Hello Emily,

Thank you for your comment. One more question.

Is there any application note or reference design for TPS6521845 and NXP i.MX 6Solo?

    Thank you.
