My customer has designed their board with TPS56121 (Vin=12V, Vout=3.3V).
Some of the boards can't start up normally which shows EN/SS oscillation and Vout shows 2.7V.
If he changed ROCSET 820Ω to 1kΩ, the issue is improved.
So I would like to ask the following.
1)
Is it a mandatory requirement to set ROCSET more than 1kΩ for TPS56121?
2)
It seems there is part to part deviation when using ROCSET=820Ω because most of their boards show no problem and some of the boards show start up problem.
I believe the part to part deviation doesn't need to consider when using ROCSET more than 1kΩ. Is my understanding correct?
