UCC21540: DT question

Part Number: UCC21540

Hi team,

Customer get one question about the dead time operation, if the input signal INB change as follow red marked show(delay time with in UCC21540 DT setting) due to DSP dead time configuration, does the output will keep the same? Or any change?

Thanks,

Will

  • Hi Will,

Thank you very much for reaching out.

The falling edge of an INA/B initiates the programmed dead time for the other signal. This dead time is the minimum time enforced to ensure that both outputs are held low. In this case, to avoid shoot-through, the output would be held low until the programmed dead time has passed. With that being said, if INB goes high before the deadtime has expired, the output will remain low until the dead time has expired.

    Sincerely,
