Hi,
Excuse me, if my LP87702 does not require 5V boot function,
Can I remove L4 in the picture below? Is there any signal of PG0, PG1, GPO0 that I should remove too?
Hi,
If the boost is not functioning properly the device can create powergood faults to PG pins and/or interrupts depending on the used OTP. The device used (LP87702D-Q1) in the picture will create powergood fault to PG1 pin for the boost.
Boost will still try to switch even if the inductor is removed. I do not see why this would not work but this is not a supported feature by the device and not recommended by TI.
Best regards,
