Hi team,
The TL1451A is dual channels controller. When using single channel, is it ok to connect the input(IN+/-)-pin to GND, FB-pin to GND, and OUT-pin open, for the unused channel? Can you tell me if there are any other precautions I need to take?
Could you also tell me the DTC-pin handling for the unused channel?
Regards,
Yamaguchi
Hi Yamaguchi-san,
Thank you for posting. I would like to put the IN+ to GND and IN- to REF, and leave the OUT pin open. Regarding DTC, you can leave it open because the channel is already stops switching by the IN- pin setting.
Thanks,

Hi Youhao-san,
Thank you for the answer. How about the FB-pin handling for the unused channel?
Regards,
Yamaguchi
Hi Yamaguchi-san,
An important correction: Sorry I made a big mistake in my previous reply. For the unused channel, IN+ pin should be put to REF and IN- to GND, and leave OUT pin open. Sorry for the typos and the confusions this may cause you.
Regarding FB pin, I would leave the unused channel FB pin open, too. Note that the FB pin is energized by the error amplifier.
Again, apologize for the typos.
Thanks,
Youhao
Hi Yuhao-san,
