Hi, expert,

My customer is using TLV62569A in HMI, but they found the EMI and anti-EFT performance is not so good. We recommended our new device TPS62825A, but customer wonder if the EMI performance is worse due to the higher switching frequency, and is the anti-EFT performance is better? Could you please share some test data to answer customer's question? Thanks.

Hi Chen,

There is no EMI scan for TLV62569A and TPS62825A, so we don't have data to support which device will offer better EMI performance. Anyhow, EMI performance cannot be attributed to IC behavior alone but mainly to PCB layout and even on the passive components. Can you share the schematic diagram and layout (send it via TI email if confidential)? Which particular EMI standard does the customer having a problem with? Is it Conductive or Radiated EMI?

I'm not familiar with anti-EFT testing. Can you also provide us some info about it?
