BQ40Z80: USER MEMORY

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Hi All,

Wondering if there is a place in EEPROM where the user can write a few bits.

the main use is to document a violation such as short circuit or AOLD.
he would like to save a time stamp + event represented in 8 or 16 bit and no more than 10 of those.

is there any write command and area where he can write it in BQ40z80 memory from the application host mcu using SMBUS line ?

  • Hi Ran,

We store some of that information in PF status and Lifetimes Data Class registers already. The gauge has no reference of time so it cannot store timestamps but it does store which cycle the most recent event happened at.

    Best,
