Good morning.

Inquire about the operation mode of the LM5170-Q1.

LM5170-Q1 is designed to operate in Buck and Boost modes depending on the direction.

Is it possible to use both Buck-Boost at the same time without selecting the input direction of power with Relay?

Hi Hoyoun,

Thank you for reaching out. Not sure if I fully understand your question. Because the LM5170 has diode emulation, you must use DIR to control the power flow direction. The current can only flow in the designated direction by DIR.
