BQ34Z100: Correct Chemistry For Samsung INR21700-50E Cells

Part Number: BQ34Z100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, GPCCHEM

Hello,

I've got a cell pack made of The cell type mentioned in the title.
I'm looking for the correct chemistry that I should program into my FG to attain good learning cycles.
Right now, the closest one I have on the list is #1737 - for the INR18650-29E type cells.
I've ran the GPCtool but it has given me a weird number, #2987, which does not make sense, and also, can not be found on the chemistry list on my BQStudio.

Does texas have a standard chemistry for these type of cells? Samsung is the lead manufacturer of LiION cells in the market, so I would assume this would be quite straightforward.

Thanks,

Leonardo

  • Hello Leonardo,

Can you share your GPCCHEM report? The chem ID recommended by this tool is the best match for your battery, that is the ID you should use if the DOD error is less than 5%.

If you don't see the chem ID you may have to update your chemistry database, there should be a link in bqStudio where the chem database version is.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
