We have received inquiry from customer looking for IC. Below is the details.
I am planning to make Power bank using a 2S or 2S2P 18650 battery, ie that max voltage is 7.4V. My input connector is a standard USB TypeC connector and output connector is a custom connector. So, I am searching for single chip can handle the USB PD and the battery charging/ discharging. Battery is 18650 3500mAh Please see attached file.
I have 2 requirements
1) If you can suggest a single chip for both battery charging/ Discharging USB TypeC adaptor ( battery is 2S or 2S2P) and USB TypeC activites
2) Or you can suggest one battery charging chip for 2S/ 2S2P 186500 battery

Do we have device that can meet the above requirements?
I saw BQ24179 datasheet that provides high power density and design flexibility to charge batteries across the full input voltage range for USB Type-C
and USB-PD applications. However, there is no CC (Channel Configuration) lines, then how can it communicate with the USB Type C chargers and do the fast charging?
