Hi Matt,
Thank you for your help.
So the Sleep current is an absolute value, right?
If I want to wake up MCU by alert signal, should I set WAKE bit in ALARM ENABLE high?

Hi Sean,
This bit will cause the Alert pin to assert when the BQ76942 wakes from Shutdown mode. However, in Shutdown mode, all of the registers of the BQ76942 are reset to the defaults unless you program different settings in OTP. So by default, the ALERT pin is not configured.
Best regards,
Matt
Hi Matt,
Thank you.
If I want to inform MCU that there is discharge or charge event happen how to use Alert?
Hi Sean,
The Alert pin cannot be used to indicate charging or discharging. The MCU can read the current every 3ms (or every 1.5ms in FASTADC mode) to see the magnitude and direction of the current.
Best regards,
Matt
