BQ25611D: Safety consideration of the IC

Hi,

We use the battery charger IC to charge 1 single cell via USB. First of all everything works fine.

For certification issues I would like to ask if there is a safety datasheet of the IC available? Esp. for fault consideration and fault injection tests we want to know if the BAT FET has his own silicon. BTW: do you have any type test documents for fault considerations for this IC. If you have any further question please let me know.

Hi Martin,

We don't have the required safety datasheet. The BQ25611D is IEC62368-1 certified by TUV.

Hi,

Is there an official test report acc. IEC62368-1 available? Or any other document where I can see what is tested and what was the result of the test?

Ning,

Thanks for the document. Looks quite good. One addtional question: can you imagine that the silicon/die has a fault that the input voltage is directly connected to the battery output e.g. without any current limitation. Or maybe if the die is faulty the input is shorted to GND. I know an anwer will be hard to give but anywhy this is our concern.
