EV2400: EV2400

Part Number: EV2400

I’m looking to purchase a EV2400 to evaluate condition and reset DJI batteries as we are getting a number of enquiries as to its effectiveness. YouTube users of the older EV2300 version suggest this devise is an effective tool to reset all DJI drone batteries when they fail after 6months of little use and out of warranty. Is their any assistance you can provide on whether this newer EV2400 is the correct device.

  • Hi Stewart,

I don't think this is something we can advise on. The EV2400 is a tool we used to communicate with our battery IC Evaluation modules. The EV2300 is no longer recommended and there are no new firmware updates for the EV2300.

We do not have knowledge of these batteries which may or may not be using TI devices, so we cannot recommend whether this is the right tool for what you are trying to accomplish.

    Best regards,

    Matt

  • Is the ev2400 a direct replacement of the 2300 model using the same software. The 2300 version allows reading the chip in the DJI battery via the smb and is able to clear the PF which then allows the batteries to be charged I’m trying establish whether the 2400 is able to do the same. Having viewed the YouTube footage of users using the 2300 it seems they are having success.

  • The EV2400 is not a direct replacement for the EV2300. Like I said, we cannot advise on this. TI does not make these battery packs and I certainly cannot recommend clearing a PF on a failed pack. This could be very dangerous.
