We encountered an issue by our SW team while we are using the bq40z50R2 gauge. We are attempting to read the DAstatus2 register from the gauge, but are having some issues. The register we are trying to read is a block-read from 0x72 (DAstatus2) using the Advanced SMB tab of BQstudio, results are from using BQstudio 1.3.101. If we unseal the pack, or unseal with full access, we can read the register. However, if the pack is sealed, the register does not return. Additionally, the Registers tab is constantly updating values from the register we want. CAn you help us understand why this is readable by BQstudio, but not when we send commands. As further info, we can read from other block registers (i.e. 0x70) perfectly fine, so it shouldn’t be the communication method.
