LMR33630: Load Test

Hi,

I am testing the below circuit  with 24V Power Supply.

My requirement: 3.3V @ 2A..

I have 2 Difficulties as below:

1. With a Load of 2.5Ohm, I am drawing 1.3A yielding 4.4W power. However, the regulator shuts down after 10seconds with No Output..

(However, if increase the load and draw about 1.2A, Regulator is working fine with no Shutdown happening..

2. With 24V/3A power supply, LMR33630 doesn't turn-on with a load to draw 1.2A. However, with 5A power supply, LMR33630 turn's-on with a load to draw 1.2A.

Does this mean that LMR33630 has a big inrush current that needs to taken care of.. If so, please advise how to do...

    It would be helpful to see some waveforms and your layout.

    Do you have waveforms that you can send? I would like to see VIN, VOUT, and SW. You can share here or you can email directly to me at jarrigo@ti.com. 

    I would also like to see your layout. Does your layout have thick VIN, VOUT and PGND? Are your input capacitors placed directly near the VIN pins of the IC?
