Customer's original board was designed for TPS7A6650QDGNRQ1. Due to shortage, they are trying to build boards using TPS7B8150QDGNRQ1 instead.
The difference is Pin 4, where TPS7A66 is CT pin, while TPS7B81 is GND. This is left floating on existing PCB.
Question:
Can TPS7B8150QDGNRQ1 work if Pin 4 (GND) is left floating?
Customer expects that the other 2 GND pins (Pin 5 & Pin 6), and Thermal pad are internally bonded with Pin 4, such that TPS7B81 would work without Pin 4 connected.
