TPS65131: +/-22V, 1W power solution for an input of 5~15v

I want to use the full output swing of +/-20V from DAC81416. I have found an IC

TPS65131 but this is only between +/-15V. Is there a chip similar to this that can

provide a higher output range? Or is there an appnote power design solution to

provide +/-22V for DAC81416. I'm looking for a solution that can provide around

a watt with +/-22 for Vss and Vcc of the 81416. The input voltage is 5~15v.

Hello John,

I did a search on ti.com and we don't have any split rail converters (+/- output) that can go up to +/-22V. In fact TPS65131 with its +/-15V is the highest we have.

Can we have some recommendation for power supply design for +/-22V @1W with 5-15V input?

Need not be a single chip solution.

Hi AK,

Yes any solution would be great. I was thinking of using two chips, one in normal boost and one in inverting boost topology. But please provide a solution along with components selection. Thanks.

My expertise are more on display power side so I am not the best person to recommend a solution for this +/-22V application and I suggest to post this question in power management forum without mentioning any specific part number in your post. That way it will be routed to general power management folks and someone should propose an appropriate solution.
