BQ27Z561: Training sequence fails

Part Number: BQ27Z561

A coulpe of questions:

1) During my trial to obtain a Chem_ID following slva725a.pdf I only managed to get one that obtains a 5.5% error.

How do (what is the best way) I send you samples of my battery to be characterized for a proper Chem_ID? What is the procedure and how long should it take?

2) Using this Chem_ID I started following slua903.pdf for the training cycle.

I'm running the training cycle on the BQ27Z561EVM-011 with my battery.

The training cycle failed during the first charge-to-full.

If I understand correctly it fails because the battery was not charged by more than 90%.

I do not see what I need to fix in order to achieve a proper training cycle.

Attached are the report I got as a response from the Chem_ID tool and the registers log of the charge-to-full.

Thank you,

  • Hello,

The best way to find the chem ID if you are getting higher errors is to run the relax discharge relax on one cell and make sure the connections are secure.

If you are not getting 90% DOD change for the learning cycle you will have to discharge/charge further than you are currently.

    Sincerely,
