BQ25710: ADC precision

Part Number: BQ25710

Dear all,
I am using bq25710 for charging 2S li-ion cells.
Everything works pretty well but the ADC current measurement and its precision are pretty bad (150mA under the actual current value). Is there any offset to add to the output ADC register value? The setting of the max charge current is respected, so I think that the current sensing circuit is ok (10mOhm with RC filter following AN).
Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Swann,

Thanks for reaching out. Let me ask you a few questions for me to understand your issue a bit more:

    1. Are you using the EVM?

    2. I am assuming you are talking about the IBAT ADC measurements (0x28)? What conditions are you seeing this? For example, what is the battery voltage, input voltage, and charge current ?

    3. How are you measuring your actual current value (and use it compare to 0x28 register read)?

    4. Can you send the register file?

    Thanks,

    Peng
