LP2952-N: Current at no load

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer design for LP2952-N is Vin is 28V, Vout is 26V, R1 is 2M, R2 is 100K.

1. What is the typical current draw from Vin with No Load at Vout?

2. Typical they saw less than 20mA draw from Vin 28V for years, but this month they are seeing a few with 3X or 4X current draw? 66-75mA from Vin 28V?

    Hi Art, 

    1. What is the typical current draw from Vin with No Load at Vout?

    The current draw at the Vin contains two-part: one is the ground pin current and one is the load current. 

    For the ground pin current, it's around 130uA. For the load current, it would be 12uA. At Vin, the current draw is around 142uA typical.

    2. Typical they saw less than 20mA draw from Vin 28V for years, but this month they are seeing a few with 3X or 4X current draw? 66-75mA from Vin 28V?

    It seems to me that there could be a load at the output, will you be able to confirm if this is the case?
