TPS735: Recommended value of feedback resistor

Part Number: TPS735

Hello team,

I would like to ask a question about the feedback resistor of TPS73501.

In datasheet, "6.3 Recommended Operating Conditions", 110kOhm is recommended for feedback resistor R2.

But in the other thread, there was a description that "noise will be optimized at R1||R2 = 250 kOhm". (This value 250kOhm also appears on the datasheet 8.2.1.2.)

Is there a reason why the recommended resistance value for R2 is 110kOhm? Which should be prioritized when determining the resistance value?

  • Hi Fukui-san,

I cannot find a specific reason for why 110k was put in the Recommended Operating Conditions Table, my assumption is that this may have been what was used on the production test program and so he author of this datasheet put that in the table as well. I would prioritize trying to get R1||R2 = 250 kOhm to optimize for noise performance.

  • Hello Renterghem-san,

I'm sorry I left the thread in the "TI Thinks resolved" state.

The customer has officially closed the question. Thank you all for your help.
