individual dc-dc converter versus dc-ac coupled inductor converter for balancing cells

hi on the way to choice the best balancing system , individual sterp down converters are easy to drive and to mount, but for some situations like charging may be require most performing systems. Dc-ac inductor coupled bidirectional converters, seems more autonomous and can share ac current on an ac bus by addying the total power from the lowest cells being independent from the the main batterie. But i beleve the indidvidual converters may be are more fast balancing. Does any body knows how to design a simple dc-ac bidirectional converter low power low voltage simpliest than the design below?

  • Hi, Germain Seguy,
This looks more for the battery management system. There is a dedicated forum of battery management. There might be more experts to handle the problems you are dealing with. We mostly see a bi-directional converter but more with isolated DC/DC instead of isolated DC/AC. This way, you can use a common DC bus to share the energy.
