  • Hi User,

Are you intending to do non-standard UPoE or PoE redundancy like PMP20859? Our PMP20859 design is designed to be compliant with IEEE802.3bt  & provide hitless redundancy. It is not intended for non-standard methods of >type 2 power (UPoE) since they are now obsolete due to the ratification of the IEEE standard.

Could you give more details about your system? Are there two power stages?

    - We recommend using TPS2372-3. We do not recommend using TPS2373-4 for a PoE redundant system (e.g. PMP20859) since advanced startup is not utilized. Also using the -3 saves some cost considering that you are configured for class 6.
    - Change PR14 & PR8240 to 27.4kohms to for valid detection to account for leakage current into the FET bridge
    - the PD type indicators should use VDD, not VC_OUT for the primary side of the optocoupler

    Regard,
