TLC59116: About LED current accuracy with series LEDs

Hello E2E,

Our customer is using this device in experimental board.
They added from single LED to two series LEDs per /OUT channel.
So, LED current error is to be large more than single LED.

Current error
- Single LED : less than 8%
- Two series LEDs : 8.2%

Please tell me the reason why the LED current error increases by series LEDs number.

Possibly, is this device for no series LEDs?

Hi, ACGUY,

Can you check the voltage drop on the OUT of TLC59116?

I'd like to see if there's any difference. Please also let me know how much current per channel they are using.

Hi Kenneth,

Please see the new attached file about OUTn voltage.

Incidentally, I requested to customer that to measure for OUTn port waveform by using oscilloscope. I am got the waveform not yet, it seems that the waveform is not constant. I suggested to them that add capacitor between OUTn to GND. If any update from them, I will inform you.
