EV2400: EV2400 + WIndows 10: not recognized?!

So not sure what to do next...

This EV2400 did work in my colleague's identical laptop also with Windows 10. Unfortunately hes away on holiday..

BAD:

I was testing with the BQ76930EVM, both 'BQ769X0' and 'BQStudio'. neither detect detect the EV2400.

I tried the firmware updated, it doesn't recognize it either.

GOOD:

The LEDs are on

In 'device manager' on windows I see it seems happy (its the bottom entry here)

It's not the ev2400, it's your bq76930 evm. If the ev2400 is not recognized, you will see it as an unidentified device in the device manager.

Okay, but I can't update the EV2400 via the EV2400_Updater_v0018.exe. it says no EV2400 present. Is this defiantly unrelated?

Disconnect and reconnect it. Check the LEDs. If they are not on, then reconnect again until they turn on. The ev2400 is a HID device, so it should use default drivers. If it doesn't work, it may be a Windows problem. Reboot your pc.

I have restarted many times, always this error

Hi Senthil,
I'm not sure if you updated firmware or not. Since the lights are on it would seem to have power.
Some ideas:
Cycle power to the EV2400
Try a different USB cable (will cycle power)
Reboot the PC
Try a different PC (such as your colleague's)
If you had updated the firmware:
Run the updater again.
Run the updater in the silent mode (-s option) as noted in the user guide
