    The following document shows key considerations when choosing external components for your BQ24610 or BQ24650 design, as well as the tradeoffs. BQ24610 is a standalone 1-6 cell customizable charge controller, and the document also shows a simplified schematic if customer does not want to use PowerPath or DPM feature. This document also details external component selection for BQ24650 - a standalone 1-6 cell charge controller with integrated Maximum Power Point  Tracking. Using this information, customer can reduce external components based on their application, as well as use this document to help in assisting with schematic reviews.

    Note that the BQ24610 schematic description shown below is also applicable when designing systems with BQ24617.
