    Hi

        It is not recommended to use bq40z50 for separated charge and discharge path application. Such applications are very complex and variated, and there could be some customized requirement on FETs control, bq76920 + bq78350 + MCU or bq76920 + bq34z100 + MCU are more suitable, as the MCU can control the FETs directly if it is needed for specific scenario which can not be covered by catalogued bq40z50 device
