This issue is observed on 10.1 TI SDK.

    Issue:

    In SDK 10.1, ETHFW returns an error when registration of same MAC address with different VLAN from the same client.


    Root Cause:

    ETHFW enforces exclusive multicast MAC address registration, allowing a MAC address to be registered only once per client.
    This registration prevents any other client from requesting the same MAC address.
    However,  Linux or QNX clients attempt to register the same MAC address when any new VLAN entry is created. Since ETHFW doesn't accommodate VLAN based MAC registration in SDK 10.1 this resulting an error.

    Solution:
    To allow same client to register the same MAC address with different VLANs, a patch must be applied to SDK 10.1.

    Patch:
    The patch addressing this issue is available for integration. Please refer to the attached patch for details.
