Hi TI Team,

We are going to use AM625 SoC in our custom device and we are going to use SK-AM62 EVK for our reference. We have already downloaded and compiled the SDK as per the instructions from the User's Guide. We are planning to change the RAM and eMMC part used in our design as compared to the EVK.

Our query is whether is there a document specifying about the RAM part numbers supported by the SDK available? If it is available please let us know where we can get the document and also let us know what change we need to do in the SDK if we change our RAM and eMMC configuration, for example if we are decreasing the RAM size from 2GiB to 1GiB and decreasing the eMMC size from 16GiB to 8GiB.

Hi Hong,

Thanks for the clear explanation of the RAM training. We're working on the configuration for the DDR which we are going to use. Will let you know if we face any issues.

Another query, for example let's say we have 8GiB SD card and by default around 500MiB will be used for the root and boot partitions and the remaining space will be left unused. So is there a way to compile the image so that a new partition will be created with the unused space left after creating the root and boot partitions when we flash the image to the SD card?

Hi Hong,

Please find my comments below,

1. I'm not able to find the create-sdcard.sh file in my SDK.

2. Is it not possible to create an extra partition in addition to the boot and root partitions during compilation of the SDK itself? Like creating an extra partition with the space left after creating the boot and root partitions?

Hi Ranjith,
After installing TI SDK, there should be "SDK_install/bin/creat-sdcard.sh" which can be referenced for how to partition SD card.

I've followed the steps from the following link and compiled the SDK for the target tisdk-base-image.

But I can't be able to find the script file which you're pointing out.

"For this purpose, the Processor SDK Linux AM62x package includes a script in the <PSDK_PATH>/bin directory named create-sdcard.sh."
