TMDS64GPEVM: Broken Synchronous Buck Controller U30

Dear Sir or Madam,

we got three TMDS64GPEVM.

With one of them I started to work and followed the Quick Start Guide.

I was able to implement Linux on the AM64 and the board booted well. Then suddenly after 2 hours the board shut off and I could't power up on anymore.

When the Board is supplied with 12V, LD6 and LD 12 are illuminated but if I switch SW1 to on, nothing happen anymore.

I measured the EN2 Signal of U30. It's working well, when the switch is moved but the IC doesn't respond.

What can I do?

Thank you for the query.

Can you help us understand the power supply you ae using and also share the board version and picture.

Did you power the other 2 boards. If you have not powered, please hold until you check on the power supply.

Have you used any of the older version EVM ?

Hello Sreenivasa,

the board which I have used is latest Revision A.

The power supply which I have used is CUI In. SDI65-12-UD-P5 and I had to make conversion plug to fit the 2.5mm.

One of the the boards is used by my colleague and it's Revision E2. With this board no problem occured so far.

The third one hasn't been powered up by us yet and at first we want to clarify the problem with the actual one.

I will be in the office next week and then I can send you a picture if it's still needed.
