AM6442: boot issue with AM6442 SR2

Hello,

We're seeing some boot issue with the latest AM6442 SR2 chip.

We started with SR1 chip, and booting from SD card works well. Now we moved to SR2, we can still see the clock , cmd and data0 toggling in a continuous loop, but no output on uart.

The same SD card is working well on SR1 boards.

Please advise on what to do next.

Hi Leon,

Is this on AM64x EVM or your custom board?

Please see the "Warning" note in the link below, since SDK v8.4 the default SD card image boots AM64x HS-FS EVM. It requires a different tiboot3 image to boot the GP EVM. It is a step of simply renaming the file.

Thank you so much, Bin. With the latest prebuilt image from TI, we can see the console output. I'll start working on the new SDK now.

Hi Leon,

Thanks for confirming.

The AM6442 SR2 is supported only since SDK v8.4.
