Extended temperature support for C6-Integra family?

Does TI expect to eventually offer chips in this product line that support operating temperatures down to -40C? (It is understandable that the current samples would not be qualified to run below freezing, but some applications need to work in lower temperatures.)

Michael,

You are correct. TI does plan to have industrial temp versions (-40C to 105C) available, though they will most probably be offered for the lower speed grade options only. We will have more information on exactly which versions we plan to offer when as we are able to collect and analyze the characterization data.

It has been a few months, any closer to a date for the extended temp version of the 8168? Also the C667x?

We will have an extended temp version of the C6A8168 available in the 1Q12-end timeframe. The part number will be TMS320C6A8168BCYGA2, which is a 1GHz DSP and 1.2GHz ARM.

I have a customer that needs the exteneded temp range - TMS32C6A8168BCYGA2 device. this was supposed to be released at this point per your earlier post - do you know when it will be avaialble or if there are samples now?

Order entry is already open for that part number. Currently, lead times are approximately 8 weeks, but you can see the exact lead time for your order once the order is placed and scheduled.

Is there some other page to order those parts? When I look at the TMS320C6A8168 product page, I see ordering options for TMS320C6A8168ACYG2 and TMS320C6A8168BCYG2, but not for an extended-temperature (...A2) variant.
