TDA4VM: About NF and NSF4V

Hello TI experts,

I found that there is a Noise Filter (NF) module in VPAC and there is a NSF4V module in VISS, while there is only one noise reduction plugin in DCC named "Noise Filter 4", does this correspond to NSF4V module in VISS? If so, then the NF module in VPAC does not have an interface for tuning? Is that right?

Hi,

Yes, NSF4 is for NSFv in VISS.

NF is essentially BLNF and it works in YUV domain, yes, there is no support for NF in DCC.

Well, it depends on the usecase. Typically if you are using NSF4v, it may not be required..

Do you require NF in YUV domain? Also is Bilinear filter for yuv domain noise filter?

Do you mean set the parameters of BLNF? Yes, it is possible, please refer to NF node in the OpenVX.
