AM625: MCU pins accessibility from Cortex-A53

Dear TI support,

according the SoC datasheet, some of the pads are named MCU_XXX (eg. MCU_CAN0/1_RX/TX).

Does these mean that all those pads are only accessiible from the Cortex-M4 or can be used by Cortex-A53 too ?

Hi Pier,

The MCU_CAN0/1 pins are accessible by A53 too. But please note that the MCU_CAN0/1 interrupts are not able to route to A53, so A53 can only use polling mode to operate MCU_CAN0/1.

Many other MCU peripheral pins are accessible by A53 too. Please check kernel device tree file arch/arm64/boot/dts/ti/k3-am62-mcu.dtsi, all the pins of the modules defined there are accessible by A53.
