TDA4VM: Chromatic Aberration Issues

Hi TI Experts,

We have a question about chromatic aberration. We are using the OVX3C image sensor, which is based on the SDK-QNX-J721E 7.03. Currently, there is a significant chromatic aberration issue at the boundary between light and dark areas, especially near the edge of the light source. We tried to weaken the color cast by adjusting the Color Correction(CC), but significant improvement requires a very low saturation, which results in the image appearing black and white. Is there a better method to optimize this issue?

Please help us to sovle this cases.

    Hi Lishuai,

    CAC (chromatic aberration correction) is not available in TDA4VM with VPAC-V1.
    It is only available in later TDA4 devices with VPAC-V3).

    With TDA4VM and the same lens, you will have to consider raw pre-processing or yuv post-processing in DSP for any significant improvement.
