I am interested in using the OMAP4 Panda to explore SLIMbus. Is there existing support for SLIMbus in a kernel distribution? I have looked at several distributions and the SLIMbus pin mux exists for the OMAP4 but I haven't found much else.

slimbus is available on the expansion header of the pandaboard, however slimbus is not a primary support item on the pandaboard and is not tested. there is a slimbus framework available:

David,
Thank you for the pointer. I have been working off this patch since it was published and have made several fixes and enhancements.
Hi,
Since I am using 4AI.1.4_OMAP4_Icecream_Sandwich_Panda_Notes kernel which does not have any support for slimbus.
Can I use this http://lwn.net/Articles/454945/ (which has slimbus implementation) patch in my ICS kernel for slimbus.
Thanks
Abhijit
Hi Abhijit,
Do you successful run Slimbus on OMAP platform? If so, could you give me some hint for this.
I just want to run it on my pandaboard to verify the connection between panda and audio codec.
Thanks
Jason
