AM6412: am6412: how to configure gpio speed

Hi expert,

Linux SDK ti-processor-sdk-linux-am64xx-evm-09.00.00.03.

We have a gpio question need your help:
We are working on a custom board based on TI AM6412. We tested and found that main_gpio0 and main_gpio1 speed is about 2M.We tried to change gpio speed to 10M or higher, but we didn't know how to configure it. What is the maximum speed that gpio can support,and how can we configure the gpio speed?

Hi Baicai,

Can you explain how you tested the GPIO speed?

I am currently looking into the device tree bindings documentation to see if there is any information about controlling the speed.

Hi Baicai,

GPIOs are software controlled and the peripheral does not have a clock that controls them. So, the 2MHz measured is the only speed it will operate at.

We would like to emulate the output of a CLK signal for an extended chip via gpio toggle, which needs to support a frequency of over 10M. The gpio toggle signal is as follows:

"GPIOs are software controlled and the peripheral does not have a clock that controls them." ,can we control the GPIO toggle speed through software in uboot or Linux kernel? if we can,how to control it
