[FAQ] AM623: Power-Up Sequencing for VPP?

Part Number: AM623

Tool/software:

Hi Expert,

Power-Up Sequencing refers to the datasheet to set up, but now I have a question about the power-up timing of the VPP voltage.

And the Figure 7-5. Power-Up Sequencing graphic shows Hi-Z. I don’t quite understand the power-up sequence of VPP?

Thanks

Daniel

  • Did you read the table note associated with VPP in the "Power-Up Sequencing – Supply / Signal Assignments" table?

VPP is the 1.8V eFuse programming supply, which shall be left floating (HiZ) or grounded during power-up/down sequences and during normal device operation. This supply shall only be sourced while programming eFuse.

The power-up and power-down sequences shows a solid line that remains low with a grey area over the solid line. This is attempting to represent the expectation as described in the table note. We prefer VPP to be held at the same potential as VSS during power-up and power-down, but having a Hi-Z connection is acceptable.

Also read the "VPP Specifications for One-Time Programmable (OTP) eFuse" section in the datasheet for more details.

    Regards,
    Paul
