Tool/software:

Hi TI,

We are working for an industrial customer on a functional safety-related project. We are going to implement 3 cameras with GMSL in the main domain and all SDL modules in the MCU domain. We need to check the code coverage, static code analysis, and compliance with the MISRA C standard, and we also need the test report for these checks.

Does TI have any suggestions for tools to achieve these requirements?

Hi,

You can use Klocwork for Static and MISRA C compliance and LDRA for dynamic analysis (Code Coverage) testing.

Hi,

What do you mean by TI SDK here? We do not perform code coverage on the whole SDK. We have specific safety modules within the SDK.

In the ti R5 compiler have the code coverage. Can we use this code coverage?

Is this have any limitation?

You can use this compiler for code coverage, but it is not certified and you may have to use the Safety Compiler Qualification kit, available in this location to qualify your use of the compilers to functional safety standards.
