HI TI experts,

I have a question on the SOC ROC.

Can i consider the ROC to be ±5% of the Nominal value for the supply rails or should i be considering the values mentioned in the data sheet ( some of the supplies range in the table do not seem to have same range for Minimum and Maximum)

HI Board designers,

The values defined in the datasheet are taken from our internal Power Management Specification created by design. They may not be exactly +/-5%. These values were used for all device validation. Therefore, you/customers should use the limits defined in the datasheet rather than some calculated value.

Maximum ripple voltage allowed on the power rails:

Supply values mentioned in the data sheet includes power supply DC output accuracy and the effect of AC transients including load transient response and supply ripple.

Finally figure out it is due to short shorten 5V to 3.3V on connector between SOM and base board on production line, the 5V damaged AM64x internal LDO through VDDA_3P3_SDIO. Is that correct?

Are you saying customer want to know what the failure mode is when connecting 5V to a power rail with an absolute maximum voltage rating of 3.63V?

If so, the answer is: “The Over-voltage condition permanently damages transistors in the device.”
