Hi team,

My customer is considering AM69 for their project.

They would like to confirm the following items.

Could you please help me ?

No.	Questions
1	Does the AM69x 4-core product lineup currently exist?
2	Is there anything you need to use the R core (e.g. provide a dedicated RTOS)?
3	Can I control the video output from the R core (at the level of writing the video to the framebuffer)?
4	Can you control PCIe from the R core?
5	Is the R core compatible with either big or little endian?
6	Is it Wayland (Weston) compatible?
7	Is X11 (X Windows System) supported?
8	Can RTOS be booted on each of the two R cores (can 3 OS be booted at the same time, including the a core)?
9	Are there any recommended JTAG debuggers?
10	Any Middleware Support for AM69x ?

Hi Kenley,

I can speak on some of these questions:

3. Can you share your use-case with video output? Are you using the codec and asking if you can write to R-core display buffers? In our standard Linux SDK the A72 owns the display however in the Vision-Apps SDK (Linux+RTOS) the display is using RTOS drivers which means it's running on the R5F.

6. Yes, Wayland (by Weston) is compatible and the supported windowing system on Linux.

7. X11 windowing system is not supported.

10. There are extensive middleware and driver support for GStreamer, OpenGLES, OpenCL, TIOVX, etc. If you have more details on what particular stack you wan to know about let me know.

Let me confirm to make sure my understanding is correct.

1. Customer need to buy the SOM and use the SOM on Mass Production in order to get the support from the 3rd party?
2. If yes, what if customer wants to design by themselves without using the SOM on mass production? No support at all?
3. Any questions regarding the devices will be taken care of 3rd party from now on ? No support from TI side?
