We are developing a project based on the Concerto Cm3 core. Will SYS/BIOS version 6.32.5.54 be OK for the using of mailbox, semaphore, task, hwi and event on Concerto Cm3?
Thanks!

Jeanne,
Can you use the latest versions of SYS/BIOS and XDCtools?
There have been many improvements since that older version of SYS/BIOS. And a lot of additions to XDCtools for Concerto, to allow PLL configuration, booting of the C28, and initialization of Flash wait states.
The latest releases are available for download here:

Scott,
Thanks a lot for your kind reply!
Could you please point out some major improvements in the latest version? If we use the old version, what problems might happen when running?
Will the latest version of SYS/BISO and XDCtools be workable with CCS5.1? Because our team members prefer to use CCS5.1.
Jeanne,
Offhand I don’t know of specific changes for the modules you mentioned. But I’d expect from that version to the latest there are a couple of bug fixes and likely several enhancements that you’d benefit from. There is an archive of the release notes for each release in the docs/relnotes_archive subdirectory of each release. You can browse those HTML files to get an idea of what has changed.
I do know from customer feedback that the Boot module provided with newer XDCtools that added the PLL and Flash wait state configuration for Concerto, and the ability to boot the C28, has been a big help. Some of the steps are pretty complicated and the Boot module takes care of those details.
As far as CCS 5.1: I think the latest SYS/BIOS release requires ARM codegen that is available for CCS 5.2 or 5.3. I don’t know if this is also available for CCS 5.1.
Scott
Scott,
Thanks!
I've viewed the release notes before. But the note for 6.33 is a little, I'm confused whether the version 6.32 is OK for our project. So I'd like post this forum to get confirmation from experts like you.
