6670 LXE + air cipher test [ SA_UnitTest_w3gpp_testProject ]...hangs in error mode [when evm is in ethernet boot mode]

Hi Ti Folks,

                  I am using 6670 LXE evm + SA_UnitTest_w3gpp_testProject runnning on it. Here are two observations. Running in JTAG mode

1. with boot mode set to Ethernet Mode [plz refer http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TMDXEVM6670L_EVM_Hardware_Setup]. The examples runs into infinite loop and never comes out of it.

2. with No boot, the example SA_UnitTest_w3gpp_testProject works perfectly. 

I spent some good amount of time trying to find out why SA_UnitTest_w3gpp_testProject is not working and i finally traced out to switch settings [= ethernet boot mode settings].

Can i know how or why ethernet boot mode switch settings affect SA_UnitTest_w3gpp_testProject or SA.

    RC,

    In no-boot mode, the GEL script is run by default when connecting core 0 from CCS. In EMAC boot mode, the gel is not run. So you need to do “system reset” then run “Default setup” to put device into known state by GEL.

    Hi,

        Thanks for your mail. Reset/restart/power cycle of the board, i am taking care during every run, still it runs into problem [to describe a little more clear, a packet is sent to 646 queue to SA and there is no reply from SA..in other words the polling fails on the qmss queue for the returned packet from SA].

    mmm..i will get more info on this [after doing more analysis from my side, will get back to you], for time being i will move off from this issue. Thanks for your reply.
