Hi all,

I need to store in a parallel thread the data from the output buffer of the capture_encode example from OMX demos.

It is important to read de memory and then pass the frames (data) to hard disk.

I have to implement my code in the ilclient.c source or in ilclient_utils.c, or in both?

You want to save the data in the file, Am I understanding you write?

If yes, you could check the capture_encode demo in EZSDK the ilclient.c file.

There is a function which is file writetask for encoder component.

And another question, in CCSv5 for passing the code to the target (DM8168) is mandatory to Make a new target and then, include the .gel file and start debugging? This is what I remember from using CCSv3.3 in Windows for a DaVinci TMS320DM6437.

Am I wrong?

Although, I read and speak with some colleagues and they said that in linux is more recommendable to use the terminal and compile the code from command line and send it to the target.

Hello Margarita,

I need to use the PCIe connection to store the data in a SSD hard drive (SATA).

Taking as base the encoder_component example, I should connect the hard drive via PCIe, so, I the hard drive is the EP and I need to configure the DM8168 as RC, am I right?

I don't find any documentation about connecting a SATA device to the DM8168 and write/read data (video) from the device.

Any suggestion to start searching info about the issue?
