Device for AAC-LC implementation

Though am not very sure about the cost perspectives, the AAC-LC codec has been tested on platforms, DM814x and DM816x. If you browse through the product folders of both, you can narrow done the choices among them.

The EZSDK for platforms DM814x and DM816x supports AAC-LC codec. They can download the AAC-LC codec separately as it is not part of EZSDK. In the below wiki link, steps are given in detail to install, build the codec with EZSDK and test on the above platforms. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/OMX_AAC_LC_Encoder_Integration_in_EZSDK

In addition to that, OMAP3x DVSDK v3.01 beta release has the AAC Encoder integrated with it. This DVSDK supports TI OMAP3530 and OMAP3525 SoC and OMAP35x Evaluation Module (EVM)

Yes, through the above TI wiki link, you mentioned, they can download the package provided they have the my.TI login account. Once they register with a download request by filling and submitting the online requisition form, they will receive the approval in 1 or 2 business days and can proceed towards downloading.

One more question, with C55x, there is also AAC-LC codec as below link.

Then, what will be the best device for the AAC-LC solution?

With the device, AAC-LC one channel encoding and one channel decoding is required.

And, if possible, it will be good to avoid using external DDR (sdram).

For C553x devices, there is difference of the size of SARAM as below.

For AAC-LC 1ch(mono) encoding and 1ch(mono) decoding (simultaneously), what is the proper device between C5532, C5533, C5534?

(How much SARAM will be required?)

So, for encoding and decoding simultaneously, it is required to use C5534 or C5535.
