DM355 AAC Encode Issue

Hi,

Our customer implemented AAC encoder on DM355 platform. Under 80% of ARM working ratio, audio mute for a few minutes sometimes happens in the AAC encoded stream. They confirmed input audio source correctly comes in without discontinuity. The customer asked us following questions. It would be helpful if they are clarified.

Q1. Was similar issue reported ?

Q2. What is supposed as the root cause?

Q3. The customer is suspecting mute function is working wihtout intention during encoding/decoding. In ordinary case, what condition is required to execute mute function?

Kojima-san,

A couple of questions for clarification:

1) You say that the customer implemented the AAC encoder, and that the input audio source correctly inputs data. Are you suspecting that the audio input device driver is muting under high cpu load? I'm asking because audio input source can be the physical audio source or the device driver.

2) Which version of PSP (Linux kernel) are you using?
