What does the simc6670 use for?

Hello all,

I am new to TI processor i just wanted to know the function of "simc6670" which is under C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pdk_C6670_1_1_2_6\packages\ti\platform.By the way I know the "evmc6670" is use for TMDSEVM6670L EVM Hardware.

Please could tell me what it uses for or share any document which could help me.

Hi,
The simc6670 platform library used for running the MCSDK examples using the CCS simulator. Please go through MCSDK User Guide for more detail.

The simulator support on CCS is defocused now. We recommend you to use EVM for early development.

Hello Liangzhan,
There is no issue with simulator of CCS. Simulators are not supported anymore from CCSv6. In case you want to use simulators it's recommended to stay with CCSv5.5.

Thank you for you reply.Now I want to bey a EVM.I have see TMDSEVM6670LXE and TMDSEVM6670LE ,The TMDSEVM6670LXE - TMS320C6670 Lite Evaluation Module with Encryption and XDS560V2,The TMDSEVM6670LE - TMS320C6670 Lite Evaluation Module with XDS560V2 Emulation.But the TMDSEVM6670LXE is cheaperthen TMDSEVM6670LE, can you tell the reason?

The page needs to be updated.
The price of TMDSEVM6670LXE(TMS320C6670 Lite Evaluation Module with Encryption and XDS560V2) is same as that of TMDSEVM6670LE(TMS320C6670 Lite Evaluation Module with XDS560V2 Emulation).
