Where can I find "TI-RTOS 2.10 for C2000 Getting Started Guide" (TI-RTOS for CCS v5)?

Hi.

We use CCS Version: 5.5.0.00077 and we are going to use TI-RTOS (I only need the task scheduler), but I cannot find any "TI-RTOS 2.10 for C2000 Getting Started Guide" document? (I only find a "TI-RTOS 2.12 for C2000 Getting Started Guide" which uses CCS 6.0 and higher).

I'll appreciate some comments on this (link to document etc ...).

Will I run into problems by not using (upgrading to) CCS 6 ?

Hi Terje,

www.ti.com ou would need to download and install TI-RTOS for the C2000 in order to access the Getting Started Guide. However, I've attached it here for your convenience.

we are going to use TI-RTOS (I only need the task scheduler)

FYI, if you don't need any drivers, etc., you can download the TI-RTOS kernel by itself (aka SYS/BIOS Kernel).

The latest release that is built for CCS v5.5x is 6.37.05.35

I may have misunderstood something here ...
Maybe it's not TI-RTOS version 2.10 that I shall use together with CCS 5.5.0.00077 ?
On page 12 on your previously attached spruhu3b_c2000_gsg.pdf (The "TI-RTOS 2.10 for C2000 Getting Started Guide") it says:
"TI-RTOS 2.10 is used in conjunction with Code Composer Studio 6.0 or higher" ...

Hi Terje,

I was only trying to answer your question of how to go about finding the user's guide for the version of TI-RTOS that you were trying to find. If you don't want to move to CCS 6.x, then perhaps that version of TI-RTOS won't work for you.

However, since you mentioned that you only need the kernel, I wanted to point you to the latest version of the TI-RTOS Kernel (aka SYS/BIOS kernel) that is meant for CCSv5.

I think you might be better off just downloading and using the version of SYS/BIOS I pointed you to in the previous post.
