Hi IT,

When will you provide a driver for the CC3200 so that we can use it in TI-RTOS XDC config tool.

Basically, I have newest drivers and CC3200SDK and simplelink. An empty TI-RTOS project and when enabling the WiFi driver in the XDC config tool (.cfg) I can only choose the 3100 from the device list!

I can see the problem is that the driver for the CC3200 is not included in the SimpleLink SDK. They should be here:

C:\ti\tirtos_simplelink_2_13_01_09\packages\ti\drivers\wifi

But only the CC3100 driver is to be found there!

That being said, let's say it was there. Then I need an example on how to configure and use it in TI-RTOS. Section 5.17 in the in the TI-RTOS user guide v2.12 is not that helpfull.

Please help.

Also, the CC3200SDK-SERVICEPACK-BETA cannot be downloaded due to some error. So I'm stuck! I basically have a project that needs to be delivered and I've selected TI as the vendor. Please don't let me down.

Hi Anders,

Did you install 'CC3200 Add on' (from CCS apps center)?

I will suggest you to check out the 'CC3200-TI-RTOS_User_Guide' and 'CC3200-Programmers_Guide' available under "<cc3200-sdk>/docs" directory.

Yes, I have installed the add-on and it is up to date.

Just to be clear: The problem is not the TI-RTOS itself, it is the WiFi driver being unavailable to the TI-RTOS RTSC tool and a how-to guide on how to set it up.

I have read the guides in the <cc3200-sdk>/docs DIR, and it even states that the reference implementation is made with a abstraction layer so that it works for both FreeRTOS and TI-RTOS. What is needed is a clean TI-RTOS implementation of the WiFi driver that can be configured from RTSC and a step by step guide on how to connect to a WiFi network.

I understand this is confusing, but TI-RTOS doesn't include the WiFi driver for the CC3200. The driver to support the CC3200 is included as part of the CC3200SDK. This page describes the steps required to add CC3200 WiFi support to your TI-RTOS example.

We do realize that this a headache for customers and we're working on some WiFi changes in the upcoming months; but I can't say when if/when the CC3200 WiFi driver will be included in this change.
